We are looking for an experienced HV Asset Condition Monitoring & Diagnostic Engineer.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HV Asset Condition Monitoring & Diagnostic Engineer to carry out predictive inspection, condition assessment, and diagnostic activities for High Voltage transmission, distribution, and substation assets. Key Responsibilities : -Conduct condition monitoring and predictive inspections of HV transmission and distribution lines. -Perform Partial Discharge (PD) detection and analysis on HV equipment and cables. -Conduct Corona and UV inspection of transmission lines, substations, insulators, bushings, connectors, and other HV equipment. -Carry out Thermal/Infrared (IR) inspections and identify abnormal heating and potential failures. -Inspect and assess the condition of GIS, AIS, transformers, switchgear, cables, insulators, CTs, VTs/CVTs, surge arresters, and associated HV equipment. -Prepare detailed technical inspection reports, condition assessments, and recommendations for corrective/preventive actions. -Support predictive maintenance planning based on inspection findings and asset condition. -Ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable utility, client, electrical safety, and international standards. Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in HV asset inspection, condition monitoring, diagnostics, or predictive maintenance. Proven experience with PD, Corona/UV, Thermal Imaging, and HV asset diagnostic techniques. Experience with transmission lines, distribution networks, and HV substations is required. GCC/Gulf experience is preferred. Certifications & Approvals : The candidate should hold relevant recognized certifications and competency approvals for the inspection activities they will perform, such as: -Infrared/Thermography Certification – Level I/II (preferably in accordance with ISO 18436-7 or equivalent). -Partial Discharge Testing/Condition Assessment certification or documented OEM/manufacturer training. -Relevant UV/Corona inspection training or certification, particularly for HV equipment and transmission lines. -Electrical safety and HV switching/authorization certification, as required by the relevant utility/client. -Where drone/UAV inspection is part of the role, the required UAV/Drone pilot certification, registration, and operational approvals from the relevant authority. Any additional client/utility-specific approval, competency certification, or authorization required to perform HV inspection and diagnostic activities.
